Immunicum’s platform technology is patented in Sweden (number: SE523515) and has pending applications in the US and in Europe. The patent protects the use of allogeneic DCs (with neurminidase) for medical treatment of cancer. Treatments of infectious diseases are covered as well, even though they are not as central in the patent. The vaccine is produced according to a couple of standard procedures. However the combined methods of production are unique which is why the patent also covers production method.

Immunicum is currently looking into additional ways of protecting the core technology.
