The concept of using allogeneic vaccine cells to treat cancer has been verified in several in vitro studies around the world as well as by Immunicum’s Norwegian research partners at Radiumhospitalet in Norway, Oslo. Immunicum’s own verification of the product consists of in vitro studies and studies in a rat model. Both substantial prophylactic and therapeutic effects were shown without any adverse side effects.

Immunicum is currently planning a clinical phase I/II-trial on 22 patients with non-small cell lung cancer to be initiated in Q1 2009. The study will be conducted in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital and A+ Science Umeå.
